"Fujairah 96" Champion of the first race in the Dubai Grand Prix for powerboats
Dubai, December 13 / WAM / The “Fujairah 96” boat, led by the brothers Giuseppe and Rosario De Cola, won the first race title in the Dubai Grand Prix for powerboats “X-CAT”, within the fifth and final round of the 2024 World Championship, which is organized by the Dubai International Marine Club on Jumeirah beaches.
“Fujairah 96” was able to strengthen its lead in the overall standings of the World Championship after adding 35 new points, raising its score to 250 points.
The boat “Britain 8”, captained by the duo Martin Campbell and Scott Williams, came in second place. While the “Faz Marine 3” boat, captained by Arif Saif Al-Zaffin and his colleague Constantine Austin, returned to the podium by occupying third place.
The best time qualifying race is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Saturday, to determine the starting positions of the boats in the second main race, which is scheduled to be held the day after tomorrow, Sunday.
