Ukraine announces the downing of 56 Russian drones last night
The Ukrainian Army Air Forces announced, on Sunday, that the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 56 Russian drones that flew over the country’s skies on combat missions last night.
The Air Force said – in a statement carried by the news agency " ;Eucrin Form" Ukrainian – Yesterday, Saturday, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and Shahed combat drones, along with other types of drones from the regions (Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, and Millerovo, Russia).
The statement added that, as of 08:30 this morning local time, units of the anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups of the forces shot down The Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces sent 56 drones to Russia in the regions of (Chernihiv, Sumy, Kiev, Poltava, Cherkasy, Khmelnitsky, Mykolaiv, Kharkov, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk).
He explained that 49 visible drones disappeared from the radar, while three planes returned to Russia. The shooting down of the drones caused damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, private homes, vehicles and other property in multiple areas of the country.
