Urgent by 25 basis points…the US Federal Reserve reduces interest rates

The US Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points for the third time this year, in a move in line with expectations.
The Monetary Policy Committee of the US Federal Reserve decided to reduce interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point, to range between 4.25% and 4.50%, which was in line with expectations.

This is the second time that the Fed has lowered interest rates after Donald Trump won the presidency of the United States last November.
In November, the Fed cut interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point, to a range of 4.50% to 4.75%.
