Ihab Tawfiq tells a funny story about meeting his wife

The artist Ihab Tawfiq revealed the details of his first meeting with his wife. Explaining that he met his wife for the first time at her cousin’s wedding.

Ihab Tawfiq indicated that he was singing at the party, and when he saw his wife for the first time, he immediately fell in love with her, which prompted him to ask for her phone number in a direct and frank manner.

He explained. Despite the state of shock he seemed at first, he insisted on clarifying his serious intention, saying: “I want your phone because if we agree together, I will marry you.”   He indicated that the background to his doing this act was the result of his conversation with his friends, as they had a conversation about the reason for his delay in marriage, where he assured them that the relationship requires focus and time, which was not available to him due to his preoccupations.

He added that one of his friends asked him if he had met a person he liked during the events and parties he attended. He replied, saying: “There are certainly many people whom one might admire, but the idea of ​​directly asking for someone’s phone number on such occasions may be embarrassing and inappropriate.” But the friend responded with a sentence that completely changed his point of view: “If you talk seriously, no one will be upset.” Ihab confirmed that these words were a turning point for him, as he began to think about them seriously, which made him act confidently when he met his life partner for the first time a few days later.

He pointed out that as soon as he got the number, he told her mother about it, Emphasizing his full respect for her family. The next day, he contacted her by phone and asked to visit her home to formally apply. Indeed, the family meeting took place in the presence of his father, uncle, and cousin, and Al-Fatihah was recited only one week after the first meeting.

Ihab Tawfiq confirmed that the matter was the result of a coincidence led by circumstances, but it completely changed his life. Pointing out that he gave his wife the song “Oh, the sweetest of them” during the engagement period.
