The Sultanate of Oman enrichs "Abu Dhabi Book" With its cultural diversity

Abu Dhabi, April 28 / WAM / The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture and Youth, participates in the 34th session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025, which is held under the slogan “Knowledge Society … Knowledge of Society” from April 26 to May 5, 2025.
Salem Al -Siyabi, a spokesman for the Omani pavilion at the exhibition, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that this participation comes within the framework of strengthening cultural relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, and an affirmation of the Sultanate’s commitment to spreading culture and knowledge and exchanging experiences between different countries in a way that contributes to enriching the cultural movement at the regional and international levels.
He added that the participation of the Sultanate of Oman at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, through the corner of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, highlights the important and varied publications offered by the Omani Ministry of Culture.
The Omani pavilion includes more than 60 editions that cover various cognitive and cultural fields, including historical manuscripts, poetry and literature bureaus, and important cultural and intellectual references, which reflects the wealth and cultural diversity that is characterized by the Sultanate of Oman.
Al -Siyabi affirmed the Omani Ministry of Culture’s keenness to participate in this prestigious exhibition continuously, as it continues to participate in various Arab and international exhibitions that are concerned with publishing and writers, and this participation comes in the Abu Dhabi exhibition as part of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to enhance Omani culture in international forums.
Al -Siyabi pointed to another important participation in the Omani pavilion represented in the presence of the “National Documentation and Manuscripts Authority”, which this year offers more than 45 diversified issues in various topics, including in -depth scientific studies and research, in addition to historical, social, cultural, economic and political publications that highlight important aspects of Oman’s history and heritage.
Al -Siyabi explained that this participation is the first of its kind for the National Documentation and Manuscripts Authority in international exhibitions specialized in the book and publishing, pointing out that the great demand that Omani publications exceeded expectations, as many visitors to the exhibition expressed great interest in learning about the latest Omani publications, stressing their follow -up to previous publications and their aspiration to see the new, especially in the areas of historical research and important scientific topics that enrich knowledge.
Al -Siyabi concluded his speech by emphasizing that the valuable participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair represents a special opportunity for fruitful cultural display and exchange, and contributes greatly to enhancing the Omani cultural presence on the international cultural map and promoting cultural dialogue between nations.
For its part, the participation, Moza Bint Khamis Al -Badi, the partner institution of the Omani “Gardens of Thought” house, confirmed in a similar statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that the participation of the house at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair comes within the framework of its firm commitment to spreading culture, enhancing societal awareness and developing the love of reading in various groups of society, noting that this participation is the fourth consecutive of the house in this pioneering cultural event at the level of the region, which reflects The house was keen to be present in this important forum.
Al -Badi explained that the establishment of the “Gardens of Thought” in the state of Al -Buraimi in the Sultanate of Oman came out of a sense of social responsibility, and in cooperation with its partner Nasra Bint Ali Al -Maamari, with the aim of spreading knowledge and expanding the horizons of thought and motivating members of society, especially young people, to adopt the habit of reading and reading, and contributing to building a sustainable cultural awareness in Omani society.
She added: Our wing yesterday witnessed the signing of a new book by Dr. Aisha Al -Maamari, the first Emirati emergency doctor, entitled “This is me”, which is the second edition of her in cooperation with the Hadayek Al -Adham House, and we also launched a new version of Dr. Saida Al Marzouqi yesterday.
