المملكة: Inauguration of the first public bus route on Farasan Island

The General Authority for Transport inaugurated the public transport project by buses on Farasan Island, in the presence of the Governor of Farasan Island, Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Dhafri, the General Supervisor of the Passenger Transport Sector at the General Authority for Transport, Rayan bin Talal Al-Hazmi, the Assistant Secretary of the Jazan Region, Ibrahim Kariri, and representatives of the company operating the public transport project ( SAPTCO).
The public bus transport project on Farasan Island is part of the public bus transport project in the capital of Jazan (Jazan, Sabya, and Abu Arish), which includes 9 routes and operates 18 hours a day, with a distance of up to 360 km, 47 buses, and 94 points. Stop, 94 drivers.

Public transportation projects

The General Transport Authority seeks to provide public transport projects in the cities and governorates of the Kingdom in more than 14 operating projects, and 5 other approved projects, aiming to expand public transport projects, based on the Authority’s objectives in partnership with the relevant authorities within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by providing multiple transportation options. With options that increase the quality of life, create new job opportunities, in addition to raising levels of safety and security at the individual level.
