The Minister of Petroleum inspects the Petrocheted Company in Western Sahara

In the context of continuous field follow -up of the activities of production companies in the oil sector, the engineer & nbsp; Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, accompanied by a delegation of the leaders of the petroleum sector, a field visit to the website of Petroshheh Company in Western Sahara, a joint company between the Egyptian General Petroleum Authority and the Chilean Specrol Company, where it inspected the progress of productive operations and drilling work in the company’s concession areas. The company’s officials reviewed the targeted drilling program, to increase the current production rates according to the ongoing plan aimed at reaching 9500 barrels per day to 11 thousand barrels per day by the end of the year. During his meeting with the company’s employees, Eng. Karim Badawi stressed the importance of the commitment of all companies operating to the highest occupational safety and health standards, noting that the safety of workers is a top priority for the oil sector, and that creating a safe and sustainable work environment is one of the main axes of the ministry’s strategy. For drilling, he praised the efforts made to accelerate the pace of development and maximize the benefit of the available infrastructure. During the meeting, the Minister listened to the work crews to find out their visions on how to accelerate the productive processes, while adhering to the rules of safety and occupational health. Two years, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, directed the need for the Egyptian General Petroleum Authority to coordinate with the company to accelerate the start of business to be next September instead of January 2026, because of this a positive impact on reducing the import bill to maximize local production rates from crude oil. On exploration and production activities to provide energy sources and petroleum products to meet the requirements of the various sectors of the state and the needs of the citizens.
