Ajman Police arrests a phone fraud gang that includes 15 people

Ajman, December 28 / WAM / Ajman Police was able to arrest a gang of 15 people of Asian nationality, who defrauded other people by requesting to update their bank information or official documents by impersonating official figures with the intention of trapping them and seizing their money.
Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Criminal Investigations Department at Ajman Police, reported that information and reports had been received about the presence of people defrauding others by calling from phone cards registered with forged data and documents, and demanding to update their bank information or update personal documents such as the identity card by impersonating an official capacity, in order to exploit this data. To seize money.
He added that the investigators from the Ajman Police immediately conducted research and investigations to arrest the gang formation, and by taking all necessary legal measures, 15 people, all of them of Asian nationality, were arrested, and 19 mobile phones used in the fraud were seized. By asking them about the incident, they admitted to defrauding people, so they were arrested. Suspending them until the legal procedures against them are completed.
The Director of the Criminal Investigation and Investigation Department at Ajman Police praised the efficiency and experience of the investigation and criminal investigation personnel and their efforts to arrest the accused, calling on the public not to believe such calls and not to hesitate to report them.
He explained that the fraudsters are misleading the targeted people that their accounts or bank cards have been blocked or frozen in order to seize their money, stressing that banks do not ask to update banking data over the phone, and he called on bank customers not to be deceived by these fake calls and messages and to go to the nearest bank branch and update the data only from Through customer service employees at the bank headquarters.
He warned of the danger of providing anyone with any data or bank account numbers they request, stressing that Ajman Police will be on the lookout and will deal firmly with anyone who thinks about tampering with the security of the nation and the safety of citizens and residents.
