المملكة: Rajab is one of the sacred months, and there is no merit for fasting or praying during the night

The head of religious affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, sent a number of enriching guidance messages to all Muslims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques on the occasion of the month of Rajab, stressing that this month is one of the sacred months that God mentioned in his book, and in which he called for no injustice. self.

He pointed out that God Almighty glorified these months and gave them a special status among the months of the year, which requires Muslims to glorify what God has glorified without innovation or innovation in the religion.
He also urged the achievement of monotheism and devotion of work to God alone, stressing that the greatest injustice is devoting worship to anyone other than God.

Fasting in the month of Rajab

Al-Sudais called for imitating the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, in worship in words and deeds, and adhering to the Sunnah of the Prophet in all matters, while emphasizing that what is promoted regarding the special virtue of fasting in the month of Rajab, praying during its night, or performing Umrah in it is not based on authentic texts.

He warned against lenience in glorifying the sanctity of this sacred month, pointing out that sins are of greater burden, especially in the Sacred Mosque.
He called on Muslims to seize this month with good deeds that benefit in this world and the hereafter, away from heresies and practices that anger God.

Al-Sudais concluded by calling on Muslims to be tolerant, cheerful, and compassionate toward visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, considering this to be an indication of appreciation for the Holy Month and respect for the sanctity of the place, in a way that reflects high Islamic morals.
