Egypt’s food exports amounted to $5.5 billion in 11 months

Cairo, January 1, 2020: The value of Egyptian food industry export revenues increased by 17% during the period from January to November last year, reaching $5.5 billion, compared to $4.7 billion during the same period in 2023.
The Egyptian Export Council for Food Industries said in a statement today, Wednesday, that these numbers represent the highest value of exports, and the largest growth rate achieved by the sector during that period compared to recorded historical data, indicating that they exceed the total value of the sector’s exports in 2023, amounting to $5,068 million, with a value of An increase of $474 million.
He pointed out that exports to Arab countries occupied the list of the most important international groups importing Egyptian manufactured foods during the period under measurement, with a value of $2,936 million, representing 53% of total food exports, achieving a growth rate in value of 15%, followed by the European Union, with a value of 1,083. million dollars, with a growth rate of 33%, and a share of 20% in total exports.
