5 dead. Storms cut off electricity and disrupt flights in America

Winter storms and heavy snowfall hit large parts of the United States, killing 5 people, canceling flights, and cutting off electricity to thousands of homes in central America all the way to the eastern coasts.
The heavy snow caused the closure of roads and the disruption of flights.
Power was cut off to more than 189,000 homes and businesses in the central and southern United States.
The snow storms led to the cancellation of nearly 1,900 flights within, to and from the United States.
