Lebanese President-elect Joseph Aoun: We need to change political and economic performance to ensure the security and stability of the country

Lebanese President-elect Joseph Aoun stressed that the current stage calls for a change in political performance to ensure the security and stability of the country, in addition to the necessity of reconsidering economic policy and planning to take care of social affairs and develop the concept of democracy in Lebanon.
Aoun said during his speech after taking the constitutional oath before members of the House of Representatives in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, “I became the first president after the first centenary of the establishment of the State of Lebanon in the middle of A Middle Eastern earthquake in which alliances rose and regimes fell, but Lebanon remained as it is despite the wars, bombings, interventions, aggression, greed, and mismanagement of its crises, and that is because Lebanon is a Lebanon from the age of history, and because the religions in it are integrated."
 
Aoun stressed that the Lebanese, despite their differences, remain united in times of distress, adding, “If one of the Lebanese is broken, “All the Lebanese are broken,” stressing the unity of the Lebanese people in facing the challenges.
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, had announced the victory of Joseph Aoun as President of Lebanon after obtaining 99 votes during the The second voting session held by the Council today.
