Tamkeen supports more than 50 Bahrainis at MTQ through career development and apprenticeship programmes

As part of its commitment to support employment opportunities and career development for Bahraini cadres in the private sector, the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” announced its support for more than 50 Bahraini employees at Oilfield Services MTQ, one of the companies specialized in providing technical solutions and maintenance for equipment used in the oil and gas industry. Supporting a wage increase for more than 40 Bahraini employees of the company, in addition to supporting the training of 10 Bahrainis within the vocational apprenticeship program.

This support comes in line with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for the year 2025, which are based on four main initiatives centered around enhancing the position and competitiveness of the Bahraini citizen in the private sector, and providing Bahrainis with the appropriate skills for career development in the private sector, in addition to giving priority to the growth, digitization and sustainability of institutions.

Mr. Khaled Al-Bayat, Chief Growth Officer at the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, confirmed that this support is part of the ongoing efforts made by “Tamkeen” to support the employment and career development of national cadres in the private sector, especially in the main sectors, of which the industrial sector is one of the most prominent, as its contribution amounted to Economic growth increased by 13.6% in GDP over the past year. By supporting MTQ, we will be able to support the career development of more than 40 Bahraini employees working in the company, in addition to supporting the qualification and training of 10 Bahrainis through the vocational apprenticeship program to hone their skills and enhance their opportunities for development in the labor market.
