Luxury goods stocks rise… The European Stock Exchange closes higher

European stock markets closed higher today, with luxury goods stocks rising.
The European Union rose by 5.03 points, or 0.98 percent, to reach the level of 520.05 points at the end of trading.
The German DAX index closed up by 80.71 points, or 0.39 percent, to reach the level of 20,655.39 points.

The British also rose by 90.77 points, or 1.09 percent, to reach the closing level of 8,391.90 points.
The French CAC 40 index rose by about 160.15 points, or by 2.14 percent, at the close, reaching the level of 7,634.74 points.
