The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council strongly condemns the second attack on the UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms the second blatant attack targeting the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Iraqi Kurdistan.

He stressed that the continuation of these treacherous attacks on the UAE consulate constitutes a serious violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and safety of diplomats and workers in those missions.

He reiterated the Gulf Cooperation Council’s stance and solidarity with the United Arab Emirates against this attack, and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that threaten security and stability in the region.
