The martyrdom of a Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli occupation prisons… and the arrest of two young men from Qalqilya

A Palestinian prisoner was martyred today, Sunday, in Israeli prisons, and the occupation forces also arrested two young men east of Qalqilya.
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the General Authority for Civil Affairs in Palestine informed the Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, With the martyrdom of prisoner Muhammad Yassin Khalil Jabr (22 years old) in the occupation prisons, bringing the number of martyrs among the ranks of prisoners and detainees in the occupation prisons since October to rise. 2023 to 56 martyrs, and they are the only martyrs whose identities are known.
The Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club stressed that the pace of escalation in the number of martyrs among the ranks of prisoners and detainees will take a more dangerous turn as more time passes while the detention of thousands of prisoners and detainees continues. In the occupation prisons, they were exposed momentarily to systematic crimes, most notably torture, starvation, attacks in all their forms, and intentionally imposing conditions It leads to them contracting serious and contagious diseases.
The Prisoners’ Commission and the Prisoners’ Club held the occupation fully responsible for their martyrdom, and renewed their demands for the international human rights system to move forward in taking effective decisions to hold the occupation leaders accountable for the war crimes they continue to carry out against the Palestinian people. Imposing sanctions on the occupation would place it in a state of clear international isolation, and restore the human rights system to its basic role for which it was created.
And in Qalqilya, local sources said, “The occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya, and arrested the two young men, Amin Maher Taim and Salah Muhammad Taim, after raiding their homes in the village.”
In this context, dozens of settlers have continued, since the morning hours, They gathered at the intersection of Hajjah village – Al-Funduq, and hung occupation flags along the main street that connects the two villages, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.
