The fire is spreading quickly.. A new forest fire breaks out north of Los Angeles
A new wildfire broke out on Wednesday north of Los Angeles, necessitating the issuance of evacuation orders in an area that recently witnessed devastating fires.
The fire is spreading rapidly near Castaic Lake, and has destroyed 1,400 hectares in less than two hours.
Constant hot, dry Santa Ana winds blowing over the area helped fan the fire, sending a massive cloud of smoke and embers above the flames.
