المملكة: Kingdom weather: moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to torrential rains

In its weather report today, Thursday, in the regions of the Kingdom, the National Center of Meteorology expects moderate to heavy thunderstorms, leading to torrential rains, accompanied by active winds and hail showers in parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
It is not excluded that fog will form in parts of these areas, as well as in parts of the eastern region.
While the opportunity is still ripe for light to moderate rain in parts of the northern border regions, Al-Jawf, and Hail, extending to parts of the regions of Medina, Al-Qassim, and Riyadh, as well as in the northern parts of the Eastern Region. Surface winds are also active, stirring up dust on the northern parts of the Red Sea coast.

Red Sea

Surface winds: North to northwesterly at a speed of 15-48 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to southwesterly at a speed of 10-32 km/h. Their speed may reach more than 45 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. .

Wave height: from one and a half to two and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from half a meter to one and a half meters and may reach higher than two meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.

Sea condition: Moderate to wavy waves over the northern and central parts, and light to moderate waves that may reach wavy with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.

Arabian Gulf

Surface winds: northwesterly to northeasterly at a speed of 15-35 km/h, turning southeasterly to easterly in the evening in the northern part.

Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half metres.

Sea state: light to medium waves.

Rain of varying intensity

The National Center of Meteorology has warned of rain of varying intensity in most regions of the Kingdom, starting tomorrow, Thursday, until next Monday, accompanied by descending winds stirring up dirt and dust, with speeds ranging from 50 to 60 km/hour, with the possibility of torrential rains, hail, and rising waves over the area. Coasts, in addition to tornadoes or watersheds.
The weather condition includes moderate to heavy rain in the regions of Mecca, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, Al-Jawf, and the northern borders from Thursday to Monday, and in the regions of Al-Sharqiya, Riyadh, Al-Qassim, and Hail on Sunday and Monday.

Light to moderate rain

While Al-Mahd and Al-Hanakiyah in the Medina region are expected to witness light to moderate rain from Thursday to Saturday, as well as Jeddah and Khulais, light rain from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, the Najran region from Thursday to Monday, and the Tabuk region on Monday.
