China announces a new plan to boost foreign investments in 2025

BEIJING, 23 JANUARY / WAM / Today, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced a new strategic plan to promote and attract foreign investments in 2025, which includes initiatives to expand the scope of openness in vital sectors.

China Central Channel quoted Ministry spokesman He Yadong as saying during a press conference that the plan aims to build on the success of 2024, which witnessed foreign direct investments worth 826.25 billion yuan.

He stressed that his country will work to expand the scope of openness in vital sectors, including communications, health care and education, while updating the list of sectors encouraging foreign investment.

He pointed out that the plan includes strengthening the “Invest in China” initiative through various promotional activities, in addition to developing mechanisms for communicating with investors and ensuring equal treatment between local and foreign companies.
