المملكة: It strengthens its global position .. “Founder” University records 4055 research and patents

King Abdulaziz University, through the King Fahd Center for Medical Research, has recorded a qualitative scientific achievement by documenting 4055 papers and patents during the 46 years of hard research work, which reflects the university’s commitment to its pioneering role in developing research, innovation and contributing to building an advanced scientific society that keeps pace with the aspirations of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.

The King Fahd Center for Medical Research, which was established in 1400 for immigration, is one of the main pillars in the university’s scientific research system, as it was distinguished by its leadership in providing medical research services with international standards and its support for applied research that serves society and contributes to improving the quality of life, which strengthened its position as an accredited research center in many national and international programs.

The center represents a major link in providing its services to the vital sectors, including the university hospital and the university’s colleges and its research centers alongside other Saudi universities, and government and private agencies, which contributed to expanding the base of benefiting from its advanced research and technical capabilities.

The center’s achievements included the establishment of more than 34 research units and a central laboratory equipped with the latest technologies, the conclusion of more than 90 research partnerships with local and international bodies, and recording more than 55 patents in addition to publishing more than 4000 scientific papers in tight scientific journals with a prominent international classification, which reflects the size of the scientific contribution provided by the university at the global level.

The university emphasized that the King Fahd Medical Research Center is part of its integrated strategy to support the knowledge economy by localizing technologies and enhancing research and innovation in various health and medical fields, noting that the center seeks to expand its international cooperation to advance scientific development and achieve research excellence that befits the Kingdom’s position among the countries of the developed world.

King Abdulaziz University continues to invest its human and technical capabilities to be at the forefront of international universities, by enhancing the quality of scientific research and increasing cognitive production in a way that keeps pace with the requirements of national development and enhances the contribution of Saudi universities in achieving the major targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
