Health: Signing a cooperation protocol to develop the health service at Heliopolis Hospital

The Ministry of Health and Population announced the signing of a cooperation protocol between the treatment institution and a group to develop the treatment services provided at Heliopolis Hospital. This comes within the framework of the keenness to advance the health sector and improve the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
The protocol was signed. Dr. Mohamed Shaqwir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Therapeutic Institution, and Dr. Hussein Kamal, General Director of the Group, and Regional Director of Vienna International University Hospitals, in the presence of Dr. Shaima Imam, Director of Health Economics at the Ministry, and Dr. Sherif. Abdel Sattar, General Manager of Heliopolis Hospital, and Ahmed Nagy, Group Head of Financial and Investment Sector.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that this cooperation comes in light of the Ministry’s commitment to developing the health system in a way that meets the needs of society and advances at the level of health services provided, in addition to improving the quality of health care, and ensuring the provision of integrated medical services to citizens.
Abdul Ghaffar added: The protocol aims to provide an integrated medical program based on successful treatment protocols in Europe, taking into account the medical requirements and health standards applied in Egypt. This includes developing comprehensive operational and information systems for all hospital departments, and training technical personnel on them, in addition to investing in infrastructure and renewing equipment. Medical services to provide the best therapeutic services, in addition to establishing medical twinning programs with the University of Vienna hospitals in many specialties.
Abdul Ghaffar continued: The protocol seeks to qualify the hospital to obtain local and international medical accreditations Such as (GAHAR) and (JCI), in addition to increasing the hospital capacity, which includes increasing the clinical capacity and the number of operating rooms, increasing the capacity of the critical and intensive care department, in addition to creating an integrated department for cardiothoracic diseases and surgery, and establishing and equipping an integrated center for orthopedic and spine surgery. And endoscopic surgeries, and adding an integrated section for one-day surgeries and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
