The Arab Week for Payments returns to Abu Dhabi in its second version

Abu Dhabi, January 27 / WAM / The activities of the “Arab Week for Payments”, which will continue until January 29 in Abu Dhabi, started today with the participation of a group of leaders of the financial sector and senior international experts. The event is organized by the regional institution for clearing and settling Arab payments “Beni”, with the aim of reviewing the latest innovations and challenges in the world of payments and financial services, while highlighting the future of the financial sector and enhancing its sustainability.
The event, which was attended by more than 300 experts and specialists, in addition to 50 speakers of the most prominent international financial institutions … a set of prominent issues, such as developments in immediate payments, transfers across borders, compliance and combating financial crimes, focusing on modern technologies such as digital currencies of central banks CBDCS, artificial intelligence, and applications associated with digital securities.
The “Arab Week of Payments” also focuses on creating a comprehensive platform that allows the sector leaders to exchange ideas and experiences and review the best global practices, with the aim of supporting the development of financial infrastructure and enhancing regional and international integration in the payments sector, which contributes to accelerating the pace of economic development in the region.
His Excellency the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Monetary Fund and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Fahd bin Muhammad Al -Turki, said: Sustainable, enabling the financial sector to adapt to global variables and successfully meet the requirements of the future.
