Ras Al Khaimah Economy: 15.6% of the growth rate of new licenses in the first quarter

Ras Al Khaimah on April 28 / WAM / The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah revealed the growth of new licenses issued during the first quarter of 2025 by 15.6 %, as professional licenses topped 24.4 %, followed by industrial licenses 15.4 %and commercial licenses 8.9 %.
A report by the department on the results of the commercial activity in the emirate during the first quarter of 2025 showed a growth in the total capital of the new licenses at a value of 286.8 million dirhams compared to 224.4 million dirhams in the same quarter of last year with an increase of 27.8%, as this growth came driven by the double of the capital of industrial licenses by about 7.7 times to reach 25.5 million dirhams compared to 3.3 million dirhams in the same quarter of a year 2024.
On the geographical range, Khalifa bin Zayed city occupied the highest percentage of new licenses by 9.9%, followed by the paint area by 7.5%, then Sidoh area with 6.9%.
Amina Qahtan Al -Shehhi, Director of the Department of Commercial Affairs in the department, said that the first quarter of this year witnessed the highest number of new licenses exported since 2017 with a total of 644 licenses, then comes in 2024 with a total of 557 licenses, noting that this continuous positive commercial growth is due to the progress made by the emirate in tourism and infrastructure.
