Earthquakes chain hitting the Greek island of Santorini in recent days

The famous Greek island of Santorini has been subjected to holidays, a series of earthquakes in recent days, which prompted the authorities to close schools tomorrow.
The authorities urged the residents of the island volcanic to not stay in the coastal areas, as there is a risk of landslides.

A statement issued by the Santorini City Council indicated that all the activities established in the closed places must be canceled, and until now, severe damage has not been reported.

According to the Earthquake Institute in the coastal city of Salonica, in northern Greece, most earthquakes occurred under the sea bottom between the islands of Santorini and Amersus.
The intensity of the earthquakes ranged between 4 and 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale, with an ascending tendency, which means that there is no possibility of giving a safety signal.
For his part, the earthquake expert, Gerasimus Papadopoulos, explained that “with increased strength, the risk of the earthquake also increases.”
