The World Government Summit .. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh: Arab strategies to enhance the role and empowerment of youth

Dubai, February 10/ WAM/ Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary -General – Head of the Social Affairs Sector at the League of Arab States, confirmed that the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers is working continuously to prepare and implement strategies aimed at supporting youth in the Arab region.

Abu Ghazala said in statements to “WAM”, on the sidelines of the preliminary day of the World Government Summit 2025, that one of the most prominent of these strategies is “the youth, security and peace strategy”, which was prepared by the university’s youth and sports administration and was launched in Jordan three months ago, noting that This strategy represents an important step to enhance the role of youth in achieving stability and sustainable development.

She added that the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports organizes many activities and programs annually, including the “Arab Youth Capital Initiative”, according to which an Arab city is chosen to be the youth capital for this year. The choice was signed on the Jordanian capital, Amman, noting that the “Arab Youth Parliament” is also one of the initiatives The task that enhances the participation of Arab youth in dialogue and decision -making.

Regarding the implementation of regional strategies to empower youth, Haifa Abu Ghazala explained that every Arab country adopts national action plans in accordance with its internal policies and capabilities, stressing that the UAE plays a pioneering role in this field by hosting many major events that support young people and provide them with opportunities to enhance their role in society.

She stressed the importance of the Arab meeting of the young leaders, which comes within the work of the government summit, in shaping the future of youth and enhancing their effectiveness in setting policies and decision -making, noting that the event reflects the tram of the UAE continuous to support Arab youth.
