His Excellency Evica Celina, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, delivered a major speech at the beginning of the forum’s work, which was held in the presence of members of the Emirates Balance Balance and local, regional and international figures.

In turn, His Excellency Mona Ghanem Al -Marri, Vice -President of the Emirates Council for Gender, stressed the importance of the gender balance forum within the work of the World Summit on Governments in highlighting the leading Emirati experience in the gender balance and what the state achieved from inspiring achievements with unlimited support from the rational leadership, adding The achievements of the UAE in the field of gender balance, through which they rose to the ranks of the countries of the world, are not a result of chance, but they are the result of deliberate policies, purposeful initiatives, and strategic partnerships, referring to some of these achievements, where women occupy about a third of ministerial positions in the government The UAE, and 50% of the seats of the Federal National Council, and represent about 57% of graduates of science, technology, engineering and mathematics specializations in state universities, which are one of the highest international rates, in addition to that it represents 46% of the labor market in general.

Al -Marri also stressed the keenness of the Gender Balance Council to exchange knowledge and experiences with the countries of the region and the world, during the global government summit, and said: “The discussion session held within the activities of the forum with the participation of global and regional officials is also a favorable opportunity to highlight regional progress in legal reforms related With gender balance, initiatives, programs and innovative strategies and their impact on enhancing gender and comprehensive balance. “
During her speech at the beginning of the forum’s activities, His Excellency Evica Celina, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, expressed her happiness with visiting the UAE and her participation in the World Summit of Governments 2025, and confirmed that Latvia is looking with admiration and appreciation for the Emirati experience in the gender balance and its advanced levels, adding that the UAE is preparing A pioneering global model in this field and in the field of supporting and empowering women at all levels.

She also stressed the importance of equal opportunities among all as a basis for achieving growth and prosperity for any society, and how its country’s government led to a change in reforming the gender balance policies.

In turn, His Excellency Lulwa Al -Awadi reviewed the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in empowering women and said that it witnessed advanced levels and qualitative transfers during the past thirty years, as a result of constructive cooperation between the government and the Supreme Council of Women, where the government adopted many initiatives, policies, mechanisms and programs that the Council has developed to enhance gender balance , Including the national plan to implement the strategy of promoting Bahraini women 2007-2012, noting the integration of the axes of this plan and gender balance targets in all government strategies.

For his part, Dr. Moez Dorid stressed the importance of gender balance in consolidating the application of laws, preventing discrimination and achieving comprehensive development in all societies with the participation of women and men together, adding that achieving the gender balance would push the gross domestic product at great rates, while ensuring the quality of decision -making .

He praised the Emirati experience in the gender balance, for its complete conviction of its positive effects, stressing that it has invested well in this field, and achieved advanced levels of global indicators.
