A meeting in Munich between officials from America, Russia and Ukraine

US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that a meeting between “senior officials” from Russia, Ukraine and the United States will be held on Friday in Munich, the German city that hosts an international security conference.
“They will hold a meeting in Munich,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office.

Reduce defensive spending

In addition, Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he wanted to discuss with China and Russia a mutual reduction between the three forces of spending in the field of defense, calling for Russia’s return to the Group of Seven.
Trump also told reporters at the White House that he intends to hold a summit with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and Russian Vladimir Putin, “Once up somewhat.”

He added that “the Russians should sit at the table” and “Putin will support a lot,” describing his exclusion that it was “a mistake.”
In addition, the American president confirmed that Ukraine is anxious to exclude it in any dialogue with Moscow, it will be a “party” in negotiations with the aim of putting an end to the war with Russia, expressing his conviction that Putin “wants peace.” He added, “I think he will tell me if he does not want it.”
