Launching a program to build “new cities” in Britain

Yesterday, British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer launched a huge program to build “new cities”, in a project that he described as the largest since World War II, and aims to address the acute housing crisis in the country.
The workers’ government, which took power in July, aspires to build 1.5 million housing by 2030.
These cities are based on building “beautiful and well -designed neighborhoods, with affordable housing, medical clinics, schools and means of joint transport.”
This plan was inspired by those approved by the Labor Party government in the late 1940s, according to which new urban areas were built, to address the shortage of housing after the Second World War.
