Prince Saud bin Jalawi launches the National Campaign Limited for Polio

His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, in the governorate’s headquarters, inaugurated the national campaign limited to vaccination against polio in Jeddah, in the presence of the director of the branch of the Ministry of Health in the governorate, Dr. Mishaal bin Misfer Al -Sayali, and His Highness gave the first dose of two children to start its launch in the governorate.

The campaign, which aims to raise societal immunity against polio, kicks off through fixed and mobile teams, where the fixed teams of vaccination in health centers and gathering places, while the mobile teams of vaccination in homes are located to reach all targeted children.

The campaign seeks to reach 300,000 children and a girl under the age of 5 years, as children receive oral polio vaccine in two doses, the first doses begin today and last for five days, while the second dose will be in the month of Shawwal 1446 AH, and it will last for a week.
