Gold and other precious metals rise

Capitals, April 22 / WAM / Gold prices rose today in spot transactions by 0.9 percent to $4,755.11 per ounce, after falling yesterday, Tuesday, to the lowest level since April 13.

US gold futures for June delivery rose 1.1 percent to $4,772.90.

As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions 1.5 percent to $77.84 per ounce, platinum increased 1.5 percent to $2,067.25, and palladium rose 1.8 percent to $1,560.31.
