Ahmed Al Sharqi crowns the Sharjah team as a champion of the opening round of the FIFA World Championships
Fujairah on February 16/WAM/Sharjah team crowned the opening round of the World Quarter Championship organized by the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, who delivered the prizes to the winners.
The coronation ceremony was attended by His Excellency Khaled Bin Dasmal, a member of the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, His Excellency Thamer Safwan, Executive Director of the Saudi Marine Sports Federation and His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club.
In the midst of a burning competitive atmosphere and a strong start for the boats, the Victorian team topped the race during the first seven rolls and with the race to the eighth roll and when the Victorian Tim performed the long strategic roll, the Sharjah team took advantage of the opportunity to take the lead, while the British team maintained its site in third place throughout the course of the race.
With this victory, the Sharjah team led by the second Constenestinov and Shawn Torrenti succeeded in achieving the first victory in the season, leading the opening round with 35 points, after scoring a time of 42: 11.86 minutes.
For his part, the Victorian Tim, led by the second Salem Al -Adidi and Issa Al -Ali, was 16 seconds in second place, achieving 30 points with a time of 42: 28.36 minutes.
As for the British team, led by Scott Williams and Martin Campbell, it has managed to maintain the third place from the start of the race until the finish line, 20 seconds from the runner -up, registering 42: 32.02 minutes.
The eye is heading to the second race, which represents the conclusion of the first round of the FIFA World Championship, amid great convergence in the results, which promises an intense competition and an exciting decisiveness of the first stage of the tournament.
