The collapse of a gold mine in Mali, which leads to the lives of 49 people

Rescue workers in Mali recovered 49 bodies from a craftsmanship gold mine in the west of the country, yesterday, Saturday, according to Ali Diallo, head of the Local Environmental Protection Association “and Asaton.
Diallo told Bloomberg News on the phone that the rescue teams continued to search for bodies on the abandoned mining site.
“Women come daily to try to find gold in the mines left by foreigners, but yesterday the accident occurred suddenly, killing more than 47 people.”
Mali is the second largest gold producer in Africa. The military government in the country adopted a new mining law, and began to demand foreign mining companies to pay millions of dollars from late taxes and profits, after a financial audit of a deficit of up to 600 billion West African francs (959.7 million dollars) in government revenues.
