After her repeated transgressions … stop an artist from work!

The Iraqi Artists Syndicate issued an official decision, to ban the artist Sarah Malik Naama, who is technically known as Sarah Al -Bahrani, to practice any artistic activity, after her continuous violations through social media.

The union stated, in an official statement, that the decision came as a result of Sarah Al -Bahrani repeated abuse, as well as her attack on the union and her fellow artists via social media platforms without justification, despite a warning against her two days ago, but she did not abide by it.

The Iraqi Artists Syndicate emphasized that its primary role is to protect the dignity of artists and preserve the image of the artistic community, noting that Al -Bahrani’s excesses reflected a negative, unrealistic image of the reality of Iraqi artists, accusing it of misleading public opinion by spreading false information.

The union pointed out that its decision is based on the Iraqi Artists Syndicate Law No. 129 of 1969 amended, stressing that any artist exceeds the ethics of the profession through electronic publication or incitement against his colleagues will be subject to similar penalties, which may reach legal accountability.
