Nahyan bin Mubarak opens the International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance

His Excellency added that young people under the age of 25 are more than half of the population in the UAE, and that the state’s plans depend on cooperation between all concerned authorities, from families, schools and government and private sectors, to ensure that young people are prepared for the future successfully.

In his speech, today, at the opening of the activities of the second international conference for civilizations and tolerance dialogue, which is organized by the Emirates Research and Studies Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, under the slogan “Empowering young people for a tolerant future”, that scientific research in the field of tolerance is the cornerstone of the status of Effective initiatives that enhance human values ​​and positively affect individuals and societies, stressing the role of the conference participants in enriching Local, regional and global awareness about tolerance and human brotherhood and their role in shaping the future of human societies.

On the conference slogan for this year, which is “empowering young people for a tolerant future”, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan mentioned that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan always confirms that young people are the future and they are the most important national resources, pointing out the importance of preparing young people to be active elements In the global community, by developing their intellectual and creative skills, enhancing their ability to deal with challenges and investing opportunities; As their empowerment is economically and educationally, it is a major factor in sparing them to fall prey to destructive ideas.

His Excellency touched on the role that young people play in building a tolerant global society, noting that the cultural diversity that distinguishes the UAE is a great opportunity for them to understand common human values ​​and openness to others, stressing at the same time the role of Emirati women in national development, and that enabling them has become a reality incident.

At the end of his speech, he stressed the importance of moral values ​​and individual responsibility, explaining that the choice between goodness and responsibility is an individual decision for every person, which requires young people to make correct decisions and appreciate their Islamic and Arab identity with pride and pride, stressing that the UAE’s success in achieving development and progress is based on moral values Partish and individual responsibility, and that working to consolidate tolerance and coexistence between cultures will remain an Emirati commitment Our wise leadership is confirmed, so that the world is a more forgiving place.

For his part, His Excellency the scholar Abdullah bin Bey, Chairman of the Emirates Sharia Fatwa Council, President of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, said that the dialogue acquires great importance and becomes an extreme necessity in our present time in which mankind faces existential challenges such as wars, conflicts, epidemics and famines, which makes them in need To adopt an approach and apply it a way to save its ship and protect the planet.

He explained that the dialogue is a required means in all circumstances and at different levels, to find a common ground in which each party finds its interest and denies the spoilers of conflict and conflict, as it provides alternatives to war and violence, to solve the words instead of Hussam and the tongue instead of teeth, and persuasion instead of conflict.

In turn, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al -Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Research Center, said that the participation of a group of international personalities to discuss global issues related to tolerance and coexistence gives a great weight to this conference, stressing that its title and slogan for this year represents an affirmation of the value of the UAE and its tolerant and peaceful approach at the level Global.

He added that the conference’s focus on young people is an affirmation of their role and status, because they are the makers of the present and the builders of the future, and that enhancing the values ​​of tolerance and dialogue they have is a contribution to building peace between nations.

The opening of the conference was attended by His Excellency Afra Al -Sabri, Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, and more than 100 international speakers and 5,000 participants from international and regional organizations, government agencies, and academics, from more than 70 countries around the world, discussing about 200 research papers on tolerance research And coexistence.

The Emirates Research Center launched the “coexistence platform”, which is the first digital platform that relies on artificial intelligence aimed at publishing the vision of the UAE leadership in the issue of dialogue and tolerance, and allows the user to ask questions about tolerance, coexistence and peace, and provide accurate and documented answers to official sources.
