المملكة: Sousse .. Al -Rabiah confirms that the Kingdom is a global beacon for humanitarian work
He explained that the Saudi charitable field teams have floated the world in the east, west, north and south to serve the needy, alleviate the suffering of the needy and draw a smile on the faces of adults and children.
He noted the success of the medical and health projects of the center that contributed to the help of patients and the injured, provide them with the best medical services, support hospitals and health centers, and implement a series of voluntary medical programs that included the whole world.
This came during a lecture today, Wednesday, entitled “Medical Work is a model of humanitarian work and its role in health systems” at the headquarters of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sousse during his current visit to the Republic of Tunisia.
This came in the presence of the Tunisian Minister of Health, Dr. Mustafa Al -Ferjani, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Tunisia d. Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al -Saqr.
Saudi aid abroad
Dr. Al -Rabiah said that the King Salman Relief Center was established under the guidance of a generous from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – on May 13, 2015, to be the only party authorized to hand over Saudi aid abroad, based on his work on the principles of transparency, neutrality and non -discrimination.
He pointed out that since the establishment of the center, 3,393 projects have implemented 106 countries in the world with a value of more than 7.8 billion US dollars, in the health, education, food security and accommodation sectors, support and coordination of humanitarian operations, water, environmental sanitation, protection, and others.
Human works in Yemen
Al -Rabiah indicated that Yemen had the most 61.98% of the center’s projects, with a value of more than 4 billion and 543 million US dollars.
The most prominent humanitarian and relief projects submitted by the Center for Women, which amounted to 1.072 projects in many countries, benefiting 172.2 million women with a value of more than 723 million dollars.
While the Kingdom provided 1.015 projects directed to the child, more than 198 million children in the world benefited a value of approximately $ 953 million.
He recalled the quality projects of the center, such as the “Mass” project to purify Yemeni lands from mines, as the project has been able, since its establishment in 2018, to remove more than 488 thousand mines planted with randomness.

In addition to the project of the artificial limb centers, which provided its services to more than 115 thousand beneficiaries, and the project to reintegrate children previously associated with the armed conflict.
Voluntary work efforts
The General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works touched on some of the executing initiatives, such as relief and voluntary platforms, documentation and international registration, such as the Saudi aid platform, the aid platform provided (for visitors) for refugees in the Kingdom, the Saudi portal for external volunteering, and the electronic donation platform “contributing”.
He reviewed the great efforts made by the Kingdom in volunteer work through the King Salman Relief Center, which amounted to 894 programs in 52 countries, through which more than 212 thousand surgeries were performed, benefiting more than two million individuals.
The number of registered volunteers
While the number of volunteers enrolled in it reached 78,747 individuals, noting the volunteer programs, including the Saudi “hearing” program for the cochlear cultivation and auditory rehabilitation, which conducted 515 cochlear cultivation operations and distributed 1.528 medical speakers.

In addition to the “Amal” volunteer program for brothers in Syria, which started several weeks ago, and will implement 104 medical and surgical volunteer campaigns, training and educational programs and economic empowerment, with the participation of more than 3000 volunteers and volunteers from the sons and daughters of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Volunteer Pulse Program for Open Heart surgery and Catheter Specialized.
Displaced twins separation program
Then the attendees watched a documentary film on the Saudi program to separate the adherent twins, through which he reviewed the stages of the implementation of the program, noting that the program has so far studied 149 cases of 27 countries in 4 continents in the world, and 62 consecutive twin separation operations were all crowned – praise be to God – with success.
He pointed to the adoption of November 24th, a global day for twins attached to the United Nations, at the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; This is with the aim of raising the level of awareness of these humanitarian cases, and celebrating the achievements in the field of the separation of adhesive twins.
