The Ministry of Health emphasizes the importance of vaccination against spinal fever before performing Umrah

The Ministry of Health stressed the necessity of receiving the forknoid fever vaccine for those wishing to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan. This comes within the framework of efforts to enhance preventive health and limit the spread of infectious diseases.

The Ministry stressed the importance of obtaining the vaccine before traveling to Umrah for a period of no less than ten days to ensure the fulfillment of the required immunity, indicating that people who received vaccination during the past five years do not need to re -vaccinate, due to the continued effectiveness of the vaccine throughout this period.

The ministry indicated that the forkmous fever is transmitted through the respiratory spray resulting from coughing or sneezing, which requires taking the necessary preventive measures.

The Ministry called for reserving an appointment through the application of “My Health” to obtain the vaccine in adult vaccination clinics, stressing the importance of adhering to preventive measures to ensure a safe and healthy experience during the performance of Umrah, and this directive comes within the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Health to protect the health of pilgrims and enhance health awareness, in a way that contributes to The development of an integrated health system that raises the quality of life and improves the level of health services provided.
