المملكة: “Education” adopts the formation of the advisory council for school principals and determines its duties

The Ministry of Education revealed the approval of the organizational rules of the Consultative Council for the school administrators and the formation of the council with the membership of the principals and principals of schools nominated by education departments in the regions and governorates.
This decision comes based on what was reached during the meeting held with the principals and principals of schools earlier and what the work interest requires.
The Council works to express opinion on educational policies and legislation and discuss the regulations and organizational evidence related to educational affairs and school administration, in addition to providing proposals to develop vocational training programs for school administrators and their agents in proportion to the needs of the educational field, and will also implement the tasks assigned to him by the competent authorities.
The education departments in the regions, governorates and various sectors of the ministry are committed to cooperation with the advisory council and facilitating its duties according to its jurisdiction, as the council will start its work from the date of the decision and continues until the end of the academic year 1446 AH according to the articles regulating its work.

Procedures for forming nomination committees

The Ministry has identified a set of controls and standards to choose the members of the Council, as the Ministry of Human Resources Agency supervises the procedures for forming nomination committees and personal interviews within the education departments, and the Director General of Education in each region and a province will be responsible for issuing the decision to form the committee and supervise its work and submit the nomination recommendations to the General Education Agency.
The initial requirements for the nomination include that the candidate has spent more than ten years in the education profession and that his experience in school administration is not less as a manager or agent than four years, and he is required to obtain a job evaluation of no less than an excellent degree during the previous two years, and that he does not have an unjustified absence exceeding five days, with the need to be at work at the time of nomination.
The selection process includes personal interviews that evaluate a number of criteria, among them the enjoyment of good example, emotional balance, self -confidence and the ability to manage knowledge and effective communication with others, in addition to adhering to the ethics of the education profession and the code of job behavior.

The mechanism for calculating the differential points

The mechanism for calculating the preference points includes granting 2.5 points for each year an educational service, calculating the total job performance for the previous two years within the evaluation equation, in addition to allocating points for those with educational awards approved by the ministry and official bodies, and granting five points per fifty voluntary hours documented through the volunteer work platform, and additional points are granted to those with a score of 85 or higher in the general and specialized tests in the professional license.
The Ministry of Education confirmed that this decision is implemented from the date of its issuance, directed by the competent authorities to work with it and cancel any previous decisions that contradict it, provided that the Ministry of Education Agency undertakes its implementation in accordance with the approved procedures.
