المملكة: The Arab Summit .. The Kingdom affirms the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state
His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered the Kingdom’s speech during the summit, conveyed at its beginning the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – and their wishes for the success of the summit.
He expressed the Kingdom’s thanks to President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt for its efforts in promoting regional coordination and consultation towards the region’s developments, and to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, for his efforts during his country’s presidency for the current session of the Council of the League of Arab States.

His Highness stressed the kingdom’s refusal to prejudice the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through settlement policies or annexing Palestinian territories, or seeking to displace the Palestinians from their lands, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to self -determination on their land, and establish an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs explained that the unprecedented suffering that the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have been exposed to the solidarity of the international community to work to return life to normal in the Strip, rebuild it, and enabling the Palestinian people to live in dignity on their land, without trying to change the reality on the Palestinian territories.

Support the Palestinian Authority
His Highness stressed the need to find international guarantees and international decisions that impose the sustainability of the armistice in the Gaza Strip, not to be exposed to aggression again, and to achieve security and stability in Gaza and all Palestinian lands, with the importance of supporting the Palestinian National Authority, and standing beside it to carry out its tasks, including managing the sector and providing humanitarian services to its residents.

At the end of the speech, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration that this summit would contribute to achieving concrete results to end the catastrophic repercussions of this war and protect innocent civilians in Palestine and find a new reality in which the region is blessed with security, stability and prosperity.
The delegation of the Kingdom included Deputy Foreign Minister Walid bin Abdul Karim Al -Khuraiji, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Prince Musab bin Muhammad Al -Farhan, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh Al -Husaini, the permanent representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdulaziz Al -Matar and the Director General of the Office of His Highness Minister Walid Al -Ismail.
