Closed consultations of the Security Council on aid to Gaza

The UN Security Council held today, Wednesday, a closed consultations session on the Middle East, and listened to a briefing from the Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kag, through the video. She added that the Secretary -General urged the commitment to the ceasefire agreement, and urged member states to use the influence they have to support this. The five members of the UN Security Council renewed the call of the Secretary -General of the United Nations in front of the Arab Summit in Cairo, to immediately allow the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

& nbsp; Denmark, Greece, Slovenia and the United Kingdom- after the closed consultations session on Resolution 2720 related to facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

& nbsp; Humanity is safe, unconditional and uncomfortable, as well as ensuring the protection of civilians and other protected persons, including humanitarian workers, in accordance with international humanitarian law. European members in the Council stressed the need to implement all relevant Security Council resolutions, including 2720 and 2735 Resolutions. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
