Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsi, said that the Egyptian Red Crescent is a national mechanism for the coordination of humanitarian aid to support the Gaza Strip and international humanitarian assistance according to the tasks delegated to it. In the face of the situation in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the crisis in October 2023, when the President of the Federation thanked the Minister of Solidarity for the efforts made by the Red Crescent in that crisis, especially since the situation in the sector is getting worse. Dr. Maya Morsi stressed that the Gaza Strip, Sudan, and even the Arab region is witnessing strong humanitarian challenges, noting that the largest percentage of humanitarian aid provided to the Gaza Strip is Egyptian national aid, where Egyptian civil society has mobilized as well as a huge assistance from all Egyptian governorates.
