A 4.4 earthquake strikes a slight damage

Officials said an earthquake measuring 4.4 degrees hit the city of Naples in southern Italy early Thursday, and resulted in slight damage and taken 11 people to the hospital.

Mayor Jaytano Manfredi told reporters that a security tape was established around a church and a residential building consisting of seven floors and another building, due to the damage, and the authorities closed some schools as a precaution.

In total, 11 people receive hospital treatment.
A woman was injured after a roof and several other people were wounded, caused by the glass that was smashed as a result of the earthquake, according to Manfredi.
Seismologists have announced a new increase in seismic activity around the Figure fields in recent weeks.
Last summer, the authorities conducted training in preparation for a major emergency in light of the increase in the number of earthquakes.
