The health system provides 40 thousand services for pilgrims in the first half of Ramadan

The health system continued its intensive efforts in conjunction with the Umrah season in the blessed month of Ramadan, by providing more than 40 thousand health services for pilgrims during the first half of the holy month, within the framework of high readiness for the health sector to ensure the health and safety of the guests of the Rahman, in a way that enhances their faith experience during the performance of the rituals and provides a safe healthy environment that supports their comfort. And the service of the guests of Rahman within the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, which focuses on providing integrated and advanced health services at the highest levels of quality for pilgrims and pilgrims, including distinguished medical services during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.

In a related context, the Minister of Health, Professor Fahd Abdel Rahman Al -Jalajel, during the past two months, made field inspection visits that included Makkah Al -Mukarramah and Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah to follow up the readiness and health preparations to receive the guests of Rahman, and reviewed the capabilities and equipment available in hospitals and health centers, stressing the need to continue to work to ensure the provision of distinguished medical services that contribute to the comfort and safety of pilgrims.

The services provided included comprehensive health care, as hospitals received more than 1900 hypnosis cases, dealt with more than 28 thousand emergency cases, and the initial health care was provided for more than 3 thousand pilgrims, and more than 200 surgeries were conducted, including 80 cardiac catheterization operations, and more than 1,600 dialysis sessions, and these numbers reflect the readiness of medical teams to meet various health needs for pilgrims with efficiency And professionalism.

Within the framework of integrative efforts, the health system strengthened coordination between the government and private sectors, and several interventions have contributed to qualitative transfers to improving the speed of response in the central area surrounding the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and achieving the highest levels of efficiency in providing care.

The Saudi Red Crescent teams contributed an active role in dealing with emergency situations by providing first aid and transferring critical cases according to the highest standards of ambulance response.

The Ministry of Health continues its supervisory efforts by raising the readiness of hospitals and health centers, enhancing emergency teams, and providing the latest technologies to ensure the quality of health services provided, in addition to improving the speed of response to meet the needs of pilgrims during the holy month.
