Despite the extinguishing efforts, forest fires extend to western Japan

Forest fires extended in two of the provinces in the western Japan today, Monday, despite the extinguishing efforts that lasted throughout the night, as the two local governments requested nearly 2,800 people to evacuate the region.
The Japanese “Kyodo” news agency reported that Monday morning, the Land Defense Forces helicopters participated in the efforts made to control the fire, at the request of the governments of the provinces of Okayama and Ihimi.

Okayama province fire
The fire that broke out yesterday, Sunday, in Okayama Province, came to 250 hectares of land in the overall cities of Okayama and Tamano, while the fire that broke out in Ihimi County 119 hectares in Embari, at around seven in the morning Monday.
The local authorities stated that although no injuries were reported in any of the two regions, but there are many houses that were burned in Okayama.
