A peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine will take time

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday that the United States will consider Russia’s requests with the aim of reaching a ceasefire with Ukraine in the Black Sea, noting that reaching a peace agreement between the two parties will take time.
“It will not be simple, it will take time, but at least we are on this path and we are talking about these matters,” Rubio said at a press conference in Jamaica.

A truce between Russia and Ukraine

Russia and Ukraine agreed in separate talks with American delegates to suspend strikes in the Black Sea, amid efforts made by US President Donald Trump to put an end to the war.
The Kremlin said on Wednesday that the revival of the initiative to ensure the security operations of the Black Sea is possible “after achieving a number of conditions”, and that Russia is taking place with the United States to lift the US sanctions imposed on it.
