The President of the Arab Parliament and the President of the Uzbek Senate confirm the support of the Palestinian people

Tashkent on April 6 / WAM / His Excellency Muhammad bin Ahmed Al -Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, and His Excellency Mrs. Tanzla Narbayeva, President of the Senate in Uzbekistan, stressed the need to support Arab and Islamic efforts to support the Palestinian people in the face of the war of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation.

This came during the reception of His Excellency the Speaker of the Uzbek Senate, His Excellency the President of the Arab Parliament and his accompanying delegation, in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, on the sidelines of participation in the meetings of the 150th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Union hosted by the Republic of Uzbekistan during the period from 5 to 9 April.

The two sides agreed to strengthen Arab -Uzbek relations in all fields, especially in the fields of investment, tourism and transportation, and to support women and youth issues.

In this context, the President of the Arab Parliament stressed that the relations between the Arab countries and the Republic of Uzbekistan are witnessing growing progress at the government level, and that there must be progress parallel to these relations at the parliamentary level as well.

In turn, Mrs. Tanzla Narbayeva valued the efforts of the Arab Parliament in supporting the Palestinian issue, stressing that her country believes that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is an imperative to achieve security and stability at the regional and global levels, and confirmed her country’s rejection of the crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people.
