“The Boy of the Mountain” .. an inspiring Emirati story that celebrates the month of autism in the Gulf cinema

With the support of the Abu Dhabi Film Committee, affiliated with the Creative Media Authority, the movie “The Boy of the Mountain” is presented in cinemas in the UAE, and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries on April 17, 2025, in conjunction with the month of awareness of the unification, which falls on the month of April of each year, and the film is produced by Desert Rose Films, and the company “Fawqira Films”, and the distribution of the company “The Blot Blots”.

A special screening of the film will be held on April 15, 2025 in the “City Cinema – Al -Qanqah” in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the staff and actors, as well as children and employees from the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Special Education in Abu Dhabi, the place where the acting team discovered the talent of the film’s hero Nasser Salah. The film tells the story of the Emirati child, “Suhail”, who lives with “unification”, and suffers from neglect from his father, because the events revolve around his adventures in the mountains of Fujairah, and to show his hardness and superior determination.

The movie “The Boy of the Mountain” was filmed in 2023 for 35 days, and more than 32 companies based in the UAE participated in its industry, and all its scenes were filmed in the UAE, on the island of Samalia, the Crimea trees in Abu Dhabi, the Dibba Mountains in Fujairah, and the Talal Hotel in Al Ain, which contributed to highlighting national talents, and showing the originality of the cultural heritage of the UAE.

“It was very important for us to adhere to the idea of ​​the original narrative narration of Emirati author Michel Ziokovsky, as we used the largest possible number of actors and Emirati staff, and this cinematic work was co -created from more than 232 individuals, 70% of them are women,” said Nancy Patton, CEO and Foundation for the company “Desert Rose Films”.
