We look at a meeting between Presidents Putin and Trump
The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said that a meeting between Presidents Putin and Trump is being seen, but he warned that he would require a comprehensive preparation.
He expressed optimism about the future of US -Russian relations, after the visit of the US special envoy, Steve Whitchov, to Russia, where Russian President Vladimir Putin met.
“Everything is going well,” Peskov told Russian government television.
Years of deteriorating relationships
“After years of deteriorating relationships, quick results cannot be expected, everything from scratch must be built, there are very difficult problems,” said Peskov.
He stressed the necessity of patience, and taking many steps before the holding of any summit, but it did not specify the date or place of the summit.
The horrific war
Witkev met with Putin more than 4 hours in Saint Petersburg on Friday.
“Russia must move, thousands of people die weekly in a terrible, meaningless war.”
