"National Human Rights" Looking with an international delegation to enhance the rights of the child and the vulnerable groups

Abu Dhabi, April 15 / WAM / His Excellency Maqsoud Cruz, Chairman of the National Authority for Human Rights, affirmed the commitment of the authority to support and enhance the rights of the child and protect it from all forms of violation and exploitation as one of the four strategic directives adopted by the authority that includes the rights of women and children, workers ’rights, and the rights of people of determination, and the right to health and mental health.
This came during a meeting with his happiness at the authority’s headquarters in the capital, Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Mrs. Mama Fatima Singata, the special decision concerned to sell children and their sexual exploitation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the accompanying delegation, as part of her official field visit to the state.
During the meeting, ways to enhance the protection of the rights of the child and the vulnerable groups were discussed, and the vital role played by the National Human Rights Authority in this field, with a focus on the importance of raising the level of societal awareness as a basic way to prevent all forms of exploitation and violations that children may be exposed to.
He pointed out, Maqsoud Cruz, the importance of this visit, and said that the protection of the rights of the child comes at the heart of the priorities of the National Human Rights Authority, considering that building a safe society for children begins through effective partnerships with international organizations, and by enhancing the culture of awareness and societal responsibility, as we are committed to continuing our efforts to ensure the provision of a safe environment that guarantees each child his rights to grow, protect and decent life.
His Excellency added, “We affirm in the National Authority for Human Rights our firm commitment to enhancing cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and working to develop national policies and practices to keep pace with the best international standards, with a special focus on protecting vulnerable groups, foremost of which is children.”
This visit comes in the context of the continuous efforts to promote constructive dialogue between national human rights institutions and international bodies, which contributes to supporting international endeavors towards protecting children and ensuring their enjoyment of all their rights without discrimination.
