Al Dhafra, December 20 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, witnessed the annual mass wedding of 86 young men from the region, at Al Dhafra Fort.
The group wedding was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.
The wedding was also attended by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, His Excellency Dr. Hamdan Muslim Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, His Excellency Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, along with a number of sheikhs, officials, relatives of the groom, and a group of invitees. The mass wedding, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Councils affiliated with the Office of Citizens and Community Affairs in the Presidential Office, in coordination with the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, the “Madeem” initiative of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, and the “ADNOC” company, included a number of heritage events and events, including traditional songs, folk arts performances, and reciting poems, in addition to an air show.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” for his continued support in providing decent means of life for citizens and enabling young people to build cohesive Emirati families, stressing that His Highness’s sponsorship of these national events reflects his deep belief that a stable family is the basis for building a cohesive and prosperous society.
The organization of the group wedding comes in furtherance of the goals of the “Year of the Family” 2026, which celebrates the authentic values of the Emirati family and its pivotal role in building society, as the grooms participating in the wedding followed the “Madeem” model, which enabled them to obtain the guidance and guidance necessary to begin their married life with confidence and stability.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for its continued support of youth and facilitating the establishment of Emirati families, stressing that family stability constitutes a basic foundation for social progress and building a cohesive and stable society.
His Excellency explained that the “Madeem” initiative and the “Nomu” program contributed, within one year of their launch, to enhancing awareness of the status of the Emirati family and consolidating authentic values based on simplicity and moderation, through an integrated national approach that supports family building and enhances its role in sustainable development.
He pointed out the importance of organizing mass weddings, coinciding with preparations to welcome the “Year of the Family 2026,” stressing the continuation of work to enable young people to begin their married lives within a safe and stable environment that contributes to consolidating national values and enhancing community cohesion.
For their part, the grooms and their families expressed their deep thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” for his generous sponsorship of this group wedding, stressing that His Highness’s support represents a source of strength and inspiration for young people at the beginning of their family life.
