Rain causes disturbances in northern Italy and southern Switzerland

Several rivers in northern Italy overflowed on their banks in the wake of heavy rains in the region, and the authorities closed areas and roads near rivers.
Also, the Bedmont area in the northwest of the country and its capital was severely damaged, as the authorities appealed to the residents to stay in homes.

Delay

The Italian railways company reported that the water flooded the railway bars, which led to the delay in the flights between Italy and Switzerland.
Several trains were also hung on the road. The authorities warned of strong winds, floods and landslides.
The areas that usually attract large numbers of visitors during the Easter holiday, such as South Tirol in the northeast of Lombardy in the north and Tuskani in the south.
Warnings from the weather were issued to the Valis and Titchino cantons in southern Switzerland, which attract visitors during the Easter holiday.
